#91 How to Recast Your Blog

Once you have created your blog, on Linkedin, Substack, or another site, you may want to Podcast it and have it available for others to read. One good idea is Recast from https://www.letsrecast.ai/. I installed the Chrome extension and once the blog is published, I automatically click the recast Icon and it’s done in minutes or quicker.

This is the process you have to go through to enable your Podcasts to be online and you also get your own RSS feed under the professional subscription. To enrich your experience with the app, there are three primary methods to add your recasts:

Utilizing the Built-In Browser within the App: Navigate to the "add" tab found at the bottom of the app interface to access our bespoke in-app browser. This feature allows you to browse the web seamlessly, similar to how you would with traditional browsers like Safari or Chrome. Here, you can explore various websites, discover interesting articles, and simply tap the "recast now" button on the screens to add them to your queue for later browsing.
Employing the iOS Share Sheet in Safari: A straightforward visual guide within the app will help you set up the iOS Share Sheet feature. Simply open Safari, click on the "share" icon, and then navigate to the "more" option by scrolling right. Here, you can customize your share sheet by adding the recast feature, allowing you to effortlessly recast articles directly from Safari to your app. If you go to the

Using the Chrome Extension on Desktop: Enhance your desktop browsing experience by installing our Chrome extension, available via a link in the app. Once added, the recast feature becomes readily accessible, enabling you to quickly recast articles with just a click, straight from your Chrome browser.

What You Can Recast: Virtually any text-based content, including blog posts, news articles, opinion pieces, and journals, is recastable. We encourage experimenting with different types of text to discover the full potential of recasting. Note, however, that there is a minimum text length requirement of 400 words to ensure meaningful recasts, and a current maximum limit of 20,000 words, which we are working to extend.

Limitations on Recasting: Content behind paywalls or too brief (under 400 words) cannot be recast due to accessibility and quality standards, respectively. Additionally, recasts require plain text, excluding images, PDFs, and similar formats from being processed.

Your Recasts and Community Discoveries: All recasts you make will appear in your queue, with the added benefit of exploring recasts from other users available under the "discover" tab.

Listening to Recasts: Recasts can be conveniently listened to via the iOS or web app, with direct play options available. Links to your recasts are also sent via email for easy access and sharing.
